Four friends decide to read Fifty Shades of Grey in their book club and all sorts of things get aroused.

"Book Club" confirms an open secret about book club meetings which is that the book is rarely discussed. This movie does little more than that and it's hard to see who the movie's target audience might be. Perhaps those among us who enjoy a cheeky double entendre or are amused by innuendo will buy a ticket. Fortunately, the actors are more entertaining than the film's premise, it's rude more than lewd, and it's off-colour rather than blue. The first rule of book club...
