Families who live in a company-controlled community want for nothing, nevertheless, cracks start to appear marring their idyllic contentment.

"Don't Worry Darling" has a pleasing design aesthetic covering a dark political undercurrent. Everything is styled and placed for perfection, distracting a society where all is not as it seems. Audiences may be similarly distracted by the sublime screen images but only until considering the gender roles and portrayals. There's a warning for anyone who wishes for a neighbourhood, town, city, or country to be made 'great again'. The writers ask us to consider the cost of any freedom, real or imagined. Be very afraid.
