Dumbo

After an elephant with enormous ears is separated from his mother, he is coerced into performing in a circus and showing off his ability to fly.

"Dumbo" hasn't translated well from an animated feature into a live action adaptation. Today's version is a dark tale of exploitation and profiteering with a cruel title. The cast is comprised of actors and CGI characters; sadly, some of the life has been taken away from the real people by digitally morphing their appearance into something creepily humanoid. As overworked and overwrought as the symphonic soundtrack becomes, it fails to compensate for the enchantment of the original. Dumbed down.
