A senior investment banker comes under scrutiny in the lead-up to the IPO launch of one her bigger clients.

"Equity" plays out a game of money and power that feels fresh, largely thanks to the ensemble of its strong female-led cast. While cut-throat characters scheme and negotiate, it gives a sense of teledrama, but the fascinating Wall Street setting, combined with the fiscal high-stakes, do generate intrigue. It also successfully addresses some common issues in the workplace and the motives are very clear, even if the message is unsubtle and needlessly repeated. Greed is... perfectly acceptable for women.
