Ouija: Origin of Evil
Horror
In 1967 Los Angeles, a widowed fortune-teller brings home a Ouija board to enhance her business with the help of her two daughters.
One can be forgiven for mistaking "Ouija: Origin of Evil" for a comedy, as for the most part characters play it straight, and the results are quietly amusing. The film shows promise in this respect, along with the 70s homage and a remarkable performance from one possessed little girl. Disappointingly, the tame story, a sour ending, and the severe lack of genuine scares leave a lot to answer for. Yet another scam.
