As war rages between humans and robots after a nuclear incident, a former soldier is tasked with a search for a secret weapon.
One can be forgiven for believing the script for "The Creator" was written by A.I. It leans on a series of sci-fi tropes that lack originality, relying heavily on grand CGI visuals that dominate every frame. For a film with such advanced technology, the plot devices are a little flimsy at times and don't quite compute. The story attempts to hack our emotions, but unless you can empathise with robots, it might be a struggle to connect with the characters and central theme. Easy to switch off.
