The Hitman's Bodyguard

Action Comedy

A top protection agent is called upon to guard the life of one of the world's most notorious and dangerous hitmen.

Littered with comedy and action clichés, "The Hitman's Bodyguard" knows exactly why it's being watched (dumb fun), and what people will find entertaining (excessive explosions and swearing). While the banter between the two leads is amusing at times, it borders on being slightly tiresome. Meanwhile, the noticeably low-budget action sequences often fail to pack a punch, particularly with film's obvious green screen use. There's a care-free, don't-take-it-serious vibe, but much like a sugar rush, too much of it isn't a good thing. No direct hit, merely a flesh wound.
