The House That Jack Built
Crime Drama Horror
An introspective story following the murders of serial killer Jack.
"The House That Jack Built" is a sickeningly graphic character study. Mixing pitch-black humour with violent surrealism, it draws sinister parallels while musing on the twin acts of creation and destruction. The lead is insanely convincing in his performance, while the director pushes the boundaries of depravity. Those with neither the stomach nor fortitude for sadistically brutal horror should avoid it at all costs. At the very least, this is a thought-provoking film that straddles the line between subversive provocation and narcissistic posturing. Solid walls, shaky foundations.
