The Insult

In Beruit two men of different religious backgrounds end up in court after a spat between the two escalates.

"The Insult" explores an intractable modern-day conflict by taking a complex situation and bringing it down to a personal level of a confrontation between two men. The verbal exchange that starts it all comes out of resentments from the past, and the escalation is swift and heated. The punchy action settles into a compelling courtroom argument. This is a well-produced and thought-provoking drama with solid acting performances that leaves us with a glimmer of hope... but not before injury is added to insult.
