Uncharted

Pickpocket Nathan Drake is headhunted by a treasure hunter to locate a long-lost gold fortune.

"Uncharted" is a generic action film that doesn't live up to the name. At its heart is the most basic of premises (a treasure map and some gold), relying heavily on the two charismatic leads and their intermittent squabbling to navigate the boredom. The set pieces are fun, particularly the mechanisms and clinks of secret tombs unlocking and heavy CGI fights in flight. It's in this mindless adventure and obvious homage to its video game origins that the target audience will find most enjoyment. Uninspiring.
