The sexualised and unmistakable 'male-gaze' facet of the long-running "Charlie's Angels" franchise has been replaced by the bond of sisterhood in the latest reboot. It's a refreshing change that brings with it an energetic and rejuvenated flair. While the film struggles to go completely full-throttle due to inconsistent writing and pacing, there's still enough kick-ass, girl-power comradery between its three leads to keep the engine running. Time will tell whether it's enough to keep the instalments coming. Good Morning Angels.
