Shazam!

A fourteen-year-old is given the ability to turn into the adult superhero, Shazam.

In a refreshing change of pace, "Shazam!" offers an alternative to the dark undertones found in the recent onslaught of superhero films. Delightfully charming and infectiously goofy, the film doesn't take itself too seriously; something the audience is encouraged to do also. There's no reinvention of the origin story found here, instead, we're granted a super coming-of-age story that isn't afraid to be sugar and spice and (mostly) everything nice. Electric!
